Kaze Project

Proof of Concept

Kaze Ghost Warrior

Meeting with skepticism over his proposed budget when pitching to Hollywood studios, Albee sought to prove his proposed production pipeline innovations. Albee set forth to do what had been previously deemed impossible: Create an "American Anime" 23-minute film with visuals and animation of comparable quality to most non-Disney/"Blue Sky"/Dreamworks feature films of the time, on two computers, in six months of production.

Clearly documenting his progress and v1.0 production methods in his best-selling book, "CGI Filmmaking, The Creation of Ghost Warrior" (Wordware Publishing, 2004), Albee proved that his techniques were logical, easy to follow and applicable to nearly every production large and small.

"I must say, I think the book is terrific! I wish that I had had a book that makes the process as accessible and inspiring back when I was in film school..."

- Jim Morris (President: Industrial Light + Magic, 2004)

Albee has since further tested and refined his production pipeline techniques and methodologies in work for clients such as Battlestar Galactica, Bionic Woman, Pixel Magic, Digi-Guys and FrontStreet Pictures.

"I'm glad people liked the ["Kaze: Ghost Warrior"] short. I'm flattered. All it was, really, was a proof of the pipeline, that the feature film could be done for the budget I was quoting. Now, with what I've learned on Galactica and the other studios I've run through this system, I can really make this story, performances and visuals blow their minds."

"The first time you do something the question is: 'Can it be done.' Afterward, the question is: 'How good can it be done.'" - Albee

"...an incredible animation piece..." "I give this DVD our top rating a 5 out of 5." - Steven Owens, Entertainment World

"...a real piece of art in which substance and style - for once - trancend technology." - Alain Bielik, VFX World
